I think the front crankshaft seal is leaking oil. To replace this do I need to remove the radiator and the fan or can I get to it w/o removing all that?

You didn't include any information about the vehicle you are referring to. I'm assuming it's a Tahoe 2000-2006 with a 5.3L? If so you don't have to remove the radiator. Technically you don't have to remove the fan either but you might want to to get it out of the way. Remove the belt. Be forewarned the harmonic balancer is tough to remove. Make sure you get the right puller for this job otherwise you be fighting to remove it all day. Then pop out the seal and install the new one and your done

If the fan is a manual fan then you would want to remove it if it's an electric fan you shouldn't have to remove it

You are correct, sorry I forgot to include all that information.

2000 GMC Yukon SLT 5.3L with 275k on the ticker.

The harmonic balancer, any reason to replace that while I'm removing it?
