Of course the young people know what dope is lol. That shot is D O P E!
Do the young people even know what I'm talking about when I say that? lol
are u putting a clear on them?Had just enough rattle can paint left over to re-coat these parts off the rear bumper. You can see where the UV burned the color off the edges. Turned out really nice.

Thx guys. Appreciate it.
These were originally the OEM black textured plastic like the rest of my truck. Lol
I color matched them once, but the UV just tore them up. Maybe I just didn't have enough primer or topcoats?
This time I sanded, primed, sanded, top coated and cleared. Multiple coats at each step for build up and adhesion.
Those lights look amazing!! Nice work. Good info on the at clear coat product. Good to know.
Yeah the UV here is just flat out brutal, hence the reason I try to keep on top of the trucks, quick washes and waxing as much as I can. Otherwise, I am constantly fighting a hard water deposit war. You can tell the cars/trucks that just go to the car wash, maybe get a wax, but never actually have the paint clay barred and polished out. You guys know, it is a lot of work to keep the paint popping, but you can tell a mile away someone who actually cares for the paint as best they can versus just washing the dirt off, if they even do that.
I sprayed 3-4 coats at each stage with some extra heavy coats towards the end. I let them cure today and will put them back on tomorrow. Not going to bother with the wet sand and polish out. Those pieces are too small and no one but you guys are ever going to get that close and check out the detail of any orange peel or if there is any texture left from the OEM look. I'll post a pic once there are installed and you can let me know what you think of how they look from a distance.
