Fog light bulb options...

I would like to get a little more light out of my fogs. I think the factory bulb is an 880 - 27W. I noticed that lighting charts list other bulbs as options and was wondering if I could use:
885 - 50W
893 - 37.5W
899 - 37.5W

What bulbs have you guys used?

I know 55w HIDs will melt the factory housings. Unsure if 35w would. Im certain the 885 would melt them. maybe the 893 or 899 would work.

My google fu says...

893 has an angled direction. The plastic surrounding the bulb is on a right angle... 90degree.. 899 is straight as a damn arrow.

the 893 has a little longer bulb

899 754 lumens
893 942 lumens
That is why the 893 has a little shorter service life.
