Hey everybody. Long time lurker, finally got a Tahoe. It's an '05 Z71. 130k. Got her for a smoking deal, for the most part it's in perfect shape. Also came with some goodies! Has a full spectre cold air intake, new electric fans, full exhaust, wheels and tires, and some lift.

This is the new kid hauler mobile!

I have a few questions. It's running 285/70/17, and I definitely have space for another size or so up. Anybody know what size lift is on it from looking at it? 2.5-3"?

Also, the AC sometimes wants to blow warm for a few seconds and then switch back to cold. Guy i bought it from gave me a part that he says will fix it. I'll post a picture of it when I get a chance.

Last question for now, the little reflectors inside the doors are wanting to come off. Should I just glue them in?

Looks like stock height z71 to me. I'd just glue the reflector light thing back on

Looks stock height maybe some keys to level it a little but maybe 2 in the front tops. Kinda hard.to tell since it's black on black but those tires look like they fill the well nicely I'd stick with that size.

These pictures don't show it as well because of the lighting, it does sit higher than the other Z71s I've been in and driven by, just not sure by how much.

It does need new shoes, I think I'll try 285/75 and if they don't rub I'll go with them.

Any input on the AC thing?

Measure from the ground to the fender/wheel well. Leveled it would be around 40"

Nice ride! Looks like a leveling kit front only. I just did one similar on my 05 z71 Tahoe.

Mystery solved, found a 4wheel parts receipt in the service records, 2.5" front, 1" rear kit installed. So I should be able to run a 285/75/17? Or can I go even bigger? I don't mind a little trimming.

The truck looks real good. Like the black on black.
Are the bow-ties painted black as well?

Rear bow tie is. Front bow tie is missing, I think I am going to create a mesh grill replacement, and mount a 20" light bar in the center flush with the grill.
