Failure to start

Got a well used 2000 denali for a great price. Recently when I turn it off, then try to restart, there will be no power to anything and the ignition fuse is blown. I replace the fuse and most times it will star t up fine. Blew the fuse monday for the first time, replaced it and it was fine monday afternoon and all of Tuesday. Today it began fine but did its thing this afternoon. Replaced the fuse, sat for a while and it started up fine. The turn signal switch is pretty trashed and I'm wondering if the power goes through it. Seems the short is between the ignition switch and the starter. Anyone ever had a similar issue? Oh yeah, I hate electrical issues
