Mine is a suburban so I am kinda screwed when it comes to aftermarket boxes fitting in the factory hole....

That MTX thunderform is for tahoe, yukon shorties...

I got a factory box without the sub yesterday for $40, I am going to install a Pioneer TS-SW841D 8" sub in it and be done...

According to JL this works in an 03-06. Could it be modified to fit an 02?? Probably the best sounding one out there from what I hear, but they sure are proud of it.

I can speak from experience on the JL stealth boxes.. Those things BUMP and and the good things, no one can see them or has to see them... Just let em hear it. My brother n law has one in his truck and it sounds really good... Pricey..yes, worth it..yes.

something along those lines is exactly what I plan on doing...

I dont want to lose any function of my truck ,especially the third row...

I am a little nervous of rattling and where the amps would go.

Also Finding the right subs to use... i wanted to do the same on both sides of the truck. What do you think?

Yeah good luck with that. They’re really hard to find since they’re discontinued. I haven’t seen one for sale in years. Trying to buy one from someone who installed it 10 years ago is pretty desperate!

You can put an ad in the parts wanted section of the classified here, you never know. I believe @Tonyrodz is sitting on one but I don’t think he’s looking to sell. Tony, you there?
Edit: you do need 85 posts before you can place a wanted or for sale ad but that can be done quickly if you put a little effort into contributing here.

My Tahoe has been parked in my garage for years now, non-running. So I am about to start pulling out some stuff before I junk it/sell it. So, yes, I will be selling it very soon.
