I have tried the vland tail lights and for some reason the passenger side doesn't fit properly. I have about a 3/4 inch gap along the window on the side and the top tabs don't fit flush. Looks like maybe they have a bad mold. Drivers side fits perfect. So I was considering just getting the oem caddy ones if the wiring will work. Toi have you put a set of oem caddy ones on before and sure about the resistors?

I havent put oem ones,my vland ones fit perfect. Watched a video about oem ones on a suburban and the installer said they needed resistors for error messages and fast blinking

I'm thinking about just ponying up and buying the Cadillac ones, I've made harnesses in the past for my wifes old Camaro so this won't be difficult to do.

Have you guys seen this video? I'm trying to figure out how he got the leds to that vertical upward movement.

He didnt, camera refresh rate did lol
I believe harness is the same you need resistors

I had the vland ones they fit perfect on my 2016 Yukon but they suck as far as brightness. I bought the OEM escalade ones so much better and so happy with them even though they hang out just a bit

I'm actually more concerned/interested in how you wired the lights versus how much it sticks out. I think a pic was already posted on how the light sit on the vehicle a few posts back.

Disappointing that the company making these STILL hasn't alleviated the problem for the Tahoe/Suburbans. I can't believe they continue to sell so many of these when they don't function properly and aren't bright enough. Hopefully someone else steps up and makes a quality product. Hell I'd pay double the current price for a Escalade-like quality version designed for the Tahoe.

i have a 2016 yukon denali so they just plug right in for me

You said later also that it was plug and play because you have a Denali. I looked up the OEM part numbers for SLE SLT and Denali tail lamps and they are the same. This would conclude that if it is actually plug and play for you, it should work for me as well(I have SLE). Can you confirm for sure? You installed yourself? Any pictures? Ready to buy, but want to do my homework. Don't want to do any splicing and dicing in the case of the Tahoes and Suburbans.

Yukon taillights in general should be PNP if his were. Reason being is all trim level Yukons have LED tails as Tahoes/Burbs do NOT.

Well that was my assessment. I guess I mistook him stating he installed on a 2016 Denali as if that was the reason why it was plug and play. If all trim levels on the Yukon are the same as far as tail light harness goes, I should be good.

i believe you should be.
i found out that there are some cheaper sets on ebay which are take offs from european version which wont light up all the way. they light up 3/4 ths of the length but much cheaper.
like $500 for a set.

I saw those. Would not pay that much for broken lights.

they arent broken, they are just a different version.

with the gmc anyone the poem are plug and play other then sticking out on the bottom about a half inch which is barley noticeable i love them better then vland the oem look so much better

I am selling my esky lights for my 2015 Tahoe. I had them on the vehicle for 3 months. Wife doesn't like them. They are in great shape but do have a very small chip on bottom corner. Not noticeable. I will sell for $400
