So i've been considering the denali IC swap, but then i got to looking around and noticed the Esky IC is a complete digital unit. Looks like poeple have done it on the Silverados, so why not a K2 burb? Anyone else look into this? I suppose right now i'm at 5 minutes into curiosity mode, so time to start research to see why everyone does the denali swap when the esky IC is mucho more bueno....

Also, if anyone has fitment pictures, from what i've gathered it's mainly a fitment thing, with the denali ones having perfect fitment, and the eskys having imperfect. i'm seeing the fitment on the sierras and silverados, but curious if it's a direct mirror on the SUVs

I've seen the fitment correction issues on the trucks. Likely the same here... but i am curious. Anyone that has done a Denali IC upgrade do you by chance have your factory IC cluster laying around that i could have if i pay shipping? I'm considering surgery and seeing if it's possible to swap the internals of an escalade IC into a stock IC external to correct some, or hopefully all the fitment issues

I discussed it with Mike White automotive and they are interested as well to see if the fitment issue can be resolved, so hoping someone on here that's done a denali IC swap can hook me up with their stock IC so i only have to buy the escalade IC

fingers crossed, i'm wokring on sourcing the Escalade IC now, so hoping someone has a stock one thats just taking up space. All i would ask is for them to box it, and send me weight and dimensions, and i can email over a prepaid UPS label for them to put on it and give to UPS, i'll make it nice and simple and easy (plus the UPS stores overcharge someone if they pay for it there, so i would help them avoid any money out of pocket)

@Geotrash - have you done your swap yet?
Thanks for the tag! No, not yet. I have everything I need, including the programmed Denali cluster from White automotive. But I’m on vacation at the moment, and have plans every day for the next week and a half. Happy to post back here when I get it done, though, and I may be willing to part with the original cluster if the Denali cluster works out.

Enjoy your vacation! i know how that goes, i think it took me over a month to find the time to put on my Moriomoto tail lights... I'm not in a huge rush so unless another one falls in my lap for this conversion i can be patient. I think i've sourced the esky IC on ebay, but waiting for them to accept my offer currently...

Hey, any progress on this?

Esky IC is being delivered today, still sourcing a used stock IC for a donor. but might be able to take some measurements and comparisons with my current one to see how plausible it is

Will do, probably will be a week before i have everything, and then i'll be able to find some time to take the two IC's apart and see about fitting them into on. I'm hoping the LED lights on the ends for the warning lights on the Esky IC are on modular chip sets or ribbons, but i'll find out when i get a chance to tear into them If it doesn't work i'll be $200 into a failed project so trust me, i'm hoping i can make it work as well

Well I think this is a REALLY cool $200 project and I know I’ve wasted $200 on dumber things

Stock IC will be showing up on Thursday, i don't think i'll have time to mess with it this week or weekend, but i think next Tuesday i will be able to tear things apart and at least start on my comparison and planning and see if it's all a waste of money or if i can make something work
