Engine oil additive in 22 Yukon 5.3?

Took my 22 Yukon SLT in today to have the oil changed, infotainment update, recall seat belt and service advisor said GM was recommending a $30 bottle of additive to the engine oil? Has anybody done this or aware if this is necessary? I refused it as I have never used additives in any engine ever.

Next time ask them to show you the TSB where GM is recommending this additive. The only GM EOS (engine oil supplement) I'm aware of is this stuff - but it's only intended for initial break-in. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/NAL-88862587

Its not GM recommending it. Its probably BG or justice brothers or whatever else the dealership tries to upsell.

He probably just failed to mention it was General Manager making the recommendation and not General Motors.
