Hey guys, I just bought an 06 Denali XL and I really like it. However, I think that the engine noise is excessive.
It seems to quiet when there isn't a load on the eng. If I am at highway speeds, and level ground or up hill, it is noisy. But if I am even slightly downhill, it goes away. But my RPMs never change.
If I am doing 65 MPH, I am running just under 2K (about 1800), and with the cruise control set, the road noise is VERY quiet, but the Eng noise is ridiculous.

I was just wondering if this is normal?
I was thinking that maybe my fan clutch is constantly on???
Or is this just how these rigs sound?

It can be because of faulty sensor which can cause by over advanced ignition timing, basically problem is because of crankshaft sensor but it can be any sensor because they all interlinked.
