They are the same exact engines with the same parts….. So all the same connecting rods and bearings from the same supplier that didn’t manufacture them to spec. Google escalade V engine failure. You’ll see a guy doing a tear down of a V engine that failed with only 4 miles on it.We all know about the engine failures across the GM range with the 6.2 motors. Does anyone know if the Cadillac Escalade V is having the same issues? Or are the supposedly “hand built” motors built to better specs?
I'm not sure that is correct. I believe that the supercharged 6.2 in the V has different rods and pistons, as the very least. They are the same exact engines with the same parts….. I think they’re all coming from the same supplier though. I could be wrong. I just remember the video that was posted in the L87 recall thread early on where the guy tore the 4 mile V engine down that failed and i think it failed for the same reason all the others have.I'm not sure that is correct. That could be. An engine plant making more than 1 engine size/type is good business sense. I say different internals because when I researched the possibilities for supercharging my 6.2, I was advised to keep it at or under 600hp with the current internals, but if I wanted more hp, then I would have to change out some internals, mainly the rods and pistons.I think they’re all coming from the same supplier though. Granted - but if the same schmucktards that dumb@$$'d the L87, got their carelessness all over those LT4s, there will be swarf ...The V engine is not an L87, it is an LT4. Different parts for a lot of things, specifically crank, rods and pistons.
If those different part numbers are being treated with the same hasty careless incompetence / disrespect as the L87,LT4 has different part numbers for crank, rods and pistons than the L87. I was looking in the parts catalog a little while ago.
Rods and pistons are differentSo let's get an expert parts opinion:

@915_Tahoe are the rods and pistons the same?
Are the different parts coming from different manufacturing suppliers?Rods and pistons are different
Oil pump/pan are the same
Heads/gaskets are different
Throttle body's different
Injectors different
In tank fuel pumps different
High pressure pumps different
Fuel rails are the same

That is a pre-2025.
Not sure on exact model year and mileage at time of failure but they are happening
How many miles? Did it have you governed for the first 500 miles before it would scream like the blackwings do?View attachment 475790
