My Buddy called me yesterday from Heber Springs and he has a 2008 Tahoe like mine and said he was coming back from going out to eat with his wife and the truck would not go over 20MPH was flashing codes and started shifting from 1st to 4th and shifting real hard. Took it to the dealer and they found that the electronic accelerator pedal had gone out and sent the computer into a shut down mode. They got it fixed, cost him about 225.00 dollars (his Tahoe has 45,000 miles on it out of warranty)

I was wondering if anyone else on the forum has had this type of failure?
Dealer told him they had only seen it one other time. They had to order the part in was not something they kept in stock.

Never heard of that issue!
Maybe he did a mod, or something that caused it?

Nope.. No mods, bone stock. We were just wondering if this was a odd part failure or if others had seen it as well.. From the lack of replys I'm guessing it hasn't happened to often.

happened on my silverado. What they just replaced a couple weeks ago. After that the truck has never run better.
