I realize this is a common problem area but I can't find a thread that matches my problem exactly.
Down seems OK but when I try and roll it up it moves up a few inches and then stops. Repeated pushing the button does not induce compliance but ignoring it for a few minutes will, eventually, get it to move up again. Usually just a few more inches, sometimes I get a good 4 inches, but regardless of the amount it stops I have to play the up a bit, wait a few minutes , up a bit, wait, repeat as needed until it finally is up all the way.
Looking at what I find online, it seems that I must be getting power for it to work at all, so I guess I can ignore that step.
To me it seems that:
1) the motor may be "overheating" (can they really do that?)
2) I just need to clean and regrease the tracks with lithium grease (that seems to easy to be true)
3) When they give you problems just replace the whole regulator assembly (I haven't been able locate OEM part yet and generally hesitate with Chinese parts)
Any any thoughts before I take the door apart?
