Let’s start from the beginning. This is going to be just a few pictures from each “phase” of the truck. Started as a $2700 bone stock auction score. 220k miles. Was repo’d from the previous owner and only ended up needing a water pump

Ran into electrical issues so I tore everything out and ended up lowering the truck and doing a much smaller stereo setup. Also found some super cheap 24’s with tiny tires. Ended up breaking a wheel in less than 1 mile

went from 3 15’s to 4 15’s and the next day the DOD lifters locked up on the truck. Tore the engine down and rebuilt it

Shortly after that I had the frame notched in preparation for the big build to come. Covered the windows in insulation and rerouted the rear ac to the back of the truck

Did the Escalade cluster and ran into problems with the roof ripping so I swapped the roof for a non sunroof one. I did about 3/8” of sound deadener because putting the new roof on. Much easier this way

I pretty much live at the junkyard and absolutely score these 26” Dub Baller’s for $500. They didn’t last long on the truck because I hated the 40 point turns I had to make due to them hitting the firewall

The windshield started leaking so I had it pulled thinking the seal had torn. Boy was I wrong. Luckily I have a badass welder buddy across from my work so he took care of all that for me.

Also had a couple of small speaker tops powder coated to match the ones in the rear

This is the current status of the truck. Tried fitting 28’s but I’d need to do a TON of work to make them fit and remain static. Narrowed front control arms and a big firewall tub is what I’d need to do. A big part of me wants to do it but I’m still on the fence

I bought a 08 Escalade ESV for a daily so I can finally give the poor suburban a break. The Suburban is creeping up on 400k miles now. It’s been my daily for 5 years now and has taken me all over the country for car shows

Oh how could I forget the suspension setup. It’s fairly simple.

Front: stock spring. Stock length strut. Drop spindles. Struts flipped to the bottom of the control arm with a 1” spacer. DJM upper arms

Rear: 6” drop spring. A metric ton in audio. Lots and lots of cutting. spohn panhard bar
