Merry X-Mas, Festivious, Hannakuh and Healthy New Year.

Sorry I've been busy lately with work due to the holidays. I didn't have my first day off the whole month of December till the actual day of X-mas.

On top of that My Uncle's Shop was forced to close due to the landlord selling the builing. He was given one week to get all his eqipment out.

It really F-N blew!

I was unable to do a few mods b/c of this aka LT Headers and my S/C kit but did get around on making some progress on my Stereo.

I purchased a Pioneer Avic D-3 with a Back-Up Camera via fleabay for $550. I was feeling lazy so I purchased the DD install kit for 100. Figure it wouls save me the hours of fabiing stuff up.

WELL LET ME TELL YOU I WAS WRONG! I have about ten hours into from start to finish aka letting materials and paint dry. I even cut one part out, but I there was no way I had to leave it there or else it wouldn't be level. So I had to re-stall my dashshroud with a drywall screw and I capped it to hide the look.

I wrote the seller of DD kit bout woes and trouble and he said the kit was designed for newer DD kits which are bigger. I have a 7" screen how much ***** bigger can I get?

I also installed my 4 Channel amp as well...

Last custom work out my uncles shop to cold for pics she is dirty.

Also, I am having trouble with my Navi- Set-up. It won't redirect me if I go off route...wtf

I'd love to see pictures of the kit from someone who actually did it. I put a pioneer DD in mine, but it was a pain, and I couldnt find a material(fiberglass, plastic putty etc) that didnt crack with temperature changes. I want to buy this kit, so im looking forward to seeing some of your pictures

I wish I had pics of the instal. Impossible not to cut this notch out in order for my screen to SIT EVEN. I cut it and then when I re-installed the painted Dash Shroud I dry walled it in and capped it off for a clean look.

This is the only part that bothers me. When I gets warmer out I will re-do this end.

My B/U Camera. I don't like how it is. I'm going to remount it in the license plate. In NY Plate b/w the letters and the number is the State itself. Going to cut a Hole in the middle of the plate and my Rollpan and mount it. Un-noticable to PO-PO.

Here is where I mounted my Navigation Antenna. Maybe cause of my Navi Woes?

Re-Calc as in re-boot the the unit itself? Or re-calc to giv new directions?

1) It should re-calc by itself as I drive...my port garmin nuvii did and the old skool one I had before that did. When I go off in the wrong direction sometimes it re-calc sometimes it doesn't.

It will show my arrow going away from the green highlighted path I was suppose to go on. Won;t tell me to turn here there to get back where I'm suppose to go. So I go to previous destinations and re hit it to re-calc it. It does but I end up driving in circles!

Think I'm gg on a lil trip and shoot a vid of this POS in action. Call Pioneer and send it to them. Maybe even bringing it to stero place and have them look at my amateur work.

i don't hunt. plus i have been busy myself , working my regular jobs on boats and i went to pennsylvania 2 time this weekend to do an oil burner in a house. 611 miles total, $157 round tripin gas, and $70 in tolls, thanks for still keepin an eye on flares, the winter sucks , pretty much stops any fun with mods

Sucks your Navi doesn't work to your hearts content dude I was gonna get a pioneer navi DD but I opted for just getting a Garmin Nuvi for $100 bucks on sale which I guess was a good desision. I did the work it took me from 2PM to about 10PM to get it in correctly. It was a real ***** and I'm pissed that the texture is flat on the plastic piece. Its weird because from the SSIMPALA website where I got the DD setup it looked textured on the front. But the plastic piece sucks. The back side of the plastic is textured like the rest of the dashboard, but the front side is not. Seems like they messed up in making it. I'll measure it tonight dude think its the same size as yours.

BlfCofe: It works! The install kit was POS! I had a Flipout But sold it bc I was getting exspensive buying the boxes for everything I wanted and now finding time and space to install all of it. So I sold it and bought a Pioneer H/U with Ipod. Just sick of my nuvi leaving marks on my interior winshield!

Just donated it back to the family for when they need it! SHIT IS **** can't wait for SAT radio!

well the 23's need tires. i was looking on cl and found the 22's that i got for the price of the tires. then i got board of the 22s and some one ask if i wanted to sell gave me a good price. so off they went. im looking to get 23's again or 24s if i can get a good deal.
