Door switch?

Where is the door switch. I am having a problem with the radio staying on after I stuck my '05 Tahoe Z71 off. The radio turns off if you open the passengers door everytime, but not always when you open the drivers door. I have looked around the door but was unable to locate it.

Miniwedge

It uses a miniwedge on the door itself to detect the door state ... not the old push style switch.

So if is common for thes to go bad? I have a '05 with 48k on the clock. It has gotten worse as of late. it just started acting up about two months ago. Is there anything I can do to help the problem short of replacing the latch?
