Leave updates and pictures for us if you do it.
Sounds like a good idea if you never use your third row and don't want to put a bench in the second row.

This conversion was done on a crew cab using the Tahoe second roll captain seats

That looks pretty good. Only thing, I think, that's a front center console so isn't there a cutout in the front of it for something? Like to lock it into the front of the dash? If there is, there'll be a big hole in the front of it. If I'm wrong please let me know.

You are correct there is a cut out, but it's easy to cover it up with a piece of 1/8" plywood wrapped in color matching vinyl.

Several months I bought a front center console from a 02 Yukon just like the first picture. Finally was able to start the fabrication to get it installed in between the rear buckets seats of my Yukon. Attach is the first picture of the progress.

Once you have the rear legs in place and the front piece screwed in take measurements and build a cardboard template for the sides like the pic below. This will be a trial and error so please be patient until you get it right. Once you get it right make it out of wood and attach it to the center console

Once the templates are done attach them to the sides like the pic attached.

As you can see the pictures, I filled in the gap left from the plastic lip to the wood with bondo and start sanding it. I'm hoping to have it painted this weekend

Hey, just a thought. You might look at getting some matching carpet and wrap just the bottom so you don't have to try to match the texture

Here are the finished pictures unmounted, I could not find the correct SEM paint color so I bought the closes color available, I'm not to concern with the color as i'm going to get the console leather wrapped when I replace the carpet after the holidays.

Carpet was on my mind but my kids are freaking messy (just look at how dirty they got my carpet) so I'm going to leather wrap it after the holidays.
