DJM A Arms

I have been looking at different lowering kits/options. I was wondering if any one has experience with the DJM 2" lowering A Arms? I have heard of ball joints failing, bushing issues, etc. Please any one with experience with these share your opinion. Thanks

the 07 up 2 inch is just lower a arm. A arm is at a different angle so there is no alignment issues. As for bjs they changed design on 07 up runs and for bushings ive never had one set go bad. But ive had shops grease the hell out of the bushings to a point they busted them which is not the bushings fault.


anything else just hollar there are more than a few members here ive sold the 2 3 and 4 inch front a arm kits and if you look around there are no complaints from them.

what type of grease do you recommend with these? I have seen graphite used, urethane grease, so what do you as an installer use? Thanks

i use prothane grease.

Get some spindles or drop struts, there is a raeson why not many people have them and thats because they just about suck. They are a good example of a good idea and bad execution.

the reason people go with spindles cause its the most pushed thing thats all and many people buy it so. You will be fine with the djm a arms and k9lover I can give you emails from customers that have the a arms from this site.

If they sucked people that bought the a arms from me would be on my section and in here complaining about how I could sell that to them which you can see they don't

Anything else just hollar and like we talked before if you want to go with spindles no prob (that way its easier also if you want to go lower later on) we can do that also.

Modded, why do you have the opinion that they suck? You seem to know a lot about these vehicles so your opinion would be appreciated. Have you lost turning radius with your spindles? Thanks all for the info.

I'm not even gonna argue whether they suck or not with you but all it takes is some skimming of GmFullSize and most people will agree that they only resort to those if they want to go lower than 2" without touching the strut or torsion keys.
DJM is one company I have not had any luck with at all.
Their coils I used to have rode like shit compared to my new Belltech and made the rear suspension sound like a 1935 Ford, their trailing arm relocators did not line up like they were supposed to and had to be hustled on, then their sway bar rnd links has like an extra 1/2" of bushing that did not allow them to be installed, so I had to dremel trim some off.
What type of BS is all this, I have not had any problems with any other drop company I have used.
On GMFS people complain the A-arms are just an all around bad design period, especially those ****** ball joints which will probably still only last 3000 miles despite their 2009 supposed rdesign.

I posted my above post for you. And I may have lost turning radius with my McGaughy spindles but it probably was not much because I do not really notice it, I like them.

btw the owner of adams polishes just got a brand new escalade and I sold him the belltech spindles/rear springs and he loves the kit ill see if i can have him come in also to tell his feedback on the kit.

you can just install the strut yes if you have high miles on the truck that would be a good option also.

I currently have 41K on the truck, and know I will need new shocks eventually. I was planning on just doing them all at the same time though. Do you have positive opinions on the struts in terms of ride as well as durability?

Pardon my ignorance but how do drop struts actually drop the front and maintain a good ride quality with out replacing the springs as well. Thanks.

Tony, are these modified (A Arms) like they setup you had done on the TBSS's? I can vouch for Tony, being a former TBSS guy, having bought things from him before. Very Standup, and he really does answer the phone 24/7. I think I called him at like 5 am his time to ask questions on a saturday morning.....

No these bolt right in.

The tbss a arms I modify myself and DJM will just tell you to buy the tbss arms off of me due to the modifications I do.

Thanks tony, after reading thru the instructions it is indicated that some vehicles may not be able to get back factory alignment with out additional parts. Have you found this to be the case with Tahoes? I have new tires and do not want to wear them out due to alignment issues.

with drop struts mated to drop spinldes you need the belltech alignment bushings. ie drop strut at 1 inch drop plus spindles for 2 inch drop 3 inch drop total get the belltech alignment cams. Since your only doing a 2 inch drop (same as if you did a 2 inch drop spring) you will be fine.
