is there a spoiler to prevent the turbulence at the rear window and tailgate. A dirt road and my back is caked. Snowy conditions and it piles up on my rear bumper. Slushy and the whole back is destroyed. I wash twice a week and I need help!

welcome to the site

I know the older Tahoes had a spoiler that was mounted on the top that actually pushed air acorss downward of the rear window. They went away on the NBS...and i agree, it's a pain for any of us. :(

+1. As soon as you clean it, no matter how much you dry it, there is always drips that come down made mark the glass.

If you use the aquapel by PPG it will make the any window very slick. Water just rolls off mine and leaves no water marks. Its the best stuff out there and last for 6months.

They make spoilers for the NNBS but I don't know how well they keep the back clean.

clean rear end

I have been looking everywhere----looks like I will wash it three times a week AND buy another 'Burb next year. My buddy (07 yukon xl denali) and I cruise together and my whole tailgate is wasted and his is clean----both stock, so it has to be the longer truck. I can't believe no one has solved this issue. Most guys say "tailgate gets dirty first" what is up with that?

SW CT,
jayray, happens to mine all the time...really annoying when the back is caked with snow and I have to open the hatch. My window isn't too much of a big deal its the rest of the tailgate...I run a heavy coat of RainX on the window and use rainX in my washer fluid...may have to coat the whole tailgate in it to see if it helps.

I drive home from the car wash and the least bit of dust on the road is on my truck tailgate--- A spoiler would help if I could find one!

Has anyone tried that one to see if it helps? I put one on my barn door (split) burb and it worked great. I end up driving it more because it stays cleaner than the NBS Tahoe.

Yeah it sucks... just rained here last night and on the way to work this morning my hoe got filthy. I can already tell I'm gonna be spending lots of money at the car wash. :yucky:

Can anyone else comment on this issue? I'm surprised an aftermarket spoilers hasn't came out to help fix this issue. I know it helped my parents trail blaser once they put on a rear spoiler to force air downward. Didn't fix the problem 100 percent but it sure helped a lot.

How bout any feed back on applying rain x or simmilar products to the rear window and the rest of the hatch?

Is there a difference between the suburban and the Tahoes back end? someone posted saying their friends suburban back end doesn't get dirty.
