Diff Cover Bolt Size?

'07 half ton Tahoe 4WD rear axle cover bolts? I thought they were metric and they use a metric socket but all I can find says it is SAE 5/16-18 bolt thread?? Any insight on this? I need to replace one that the head rounded off. Will replace them all actually.

I had a 2000 Tahoe and the rear cover bolts were 8mm.dia. with a 12mm hex head approx. 25mm long.

Take one out and run up to Lowes or Home Depot and use the bolt size chart on the wall in the hardware section. Also someone in the 07 section could probably tell you right away as this is the 2015+ section. Good luck.
