Can someone tell me what exctly is buffeting noise?

It’s very similar to the sound of vehicle makes when you’re going down the highway and somebody cracks a single window in the back. It’s really just the ‘sonic feeling/thumping’ that goes along with that not the roaring sound.

the exact year the buffeting noise was the problem

years '15 thru '20
;)

it seems very hit or miss. & GM has no clue how to fix it.

to me it seems more of a tolerance stacking type issue... so 1 or more of the items discussed in multiple threads here could be fix when tied together

as already mentioned , go test drive &
make sure to try as many road types as possible & speeds btwn 25-75 (or so)

good idea to bring some other folks w/ you. as some have more sensitive ears than others.

Gents,

I now am going to shift gears on you a bit, what is the ride & drive differences if you are comparing a 2017 Tahoe LT to 2016 Yukon SLT both with the 5.3L and neither have tow package so I assume the same gearing but I have gotten that deep. I am wondering about ride, cabin noise and general driving pleasure.

I do pull a 19' fishing boat at times (not as much as I would like) and general round town and short (< 500 mile) highway trips.

Your thoughts and experience is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim

Never had this issue in my Tahoe or Yukon. Drive the one you want before you buy.
