Denali 6.0 oil cooler bypass

Ok, so I have the typical oil cooler lines that leak, and I have new lines, orings and fittings at the radiator to go back in when I decide to replace them. My question is who has used the block-off plate that GM sells with a gasket to get rid of those lines all together? I'm thinking about going this route and looking for feedback. Thanks

I'd fixed it right and kept the oil cooler when mine were leaking. Need all the cooling I can get!
