DEF bargain

Fellow diesel owners. I had to purchase def for the first time today and found a good deal at Autozone for 5 gal of fluid at $32. These peak def 2.5 gal bottles also came with an easy to use funnel. I will add that I don’t work for Autozone in anyway. I just wanted to share the savings.

You can buy 5 gal at Wal mart everyday for 23 $...Exact same stuff. Not an item to stock up on....

That’s good info. I hadn’t thought of the shelf life. I got my diesel in Jan and had to fill it up 2.5 mo later. From what I found a 1 yr shelf life is average.

Better yet, fill up DEF at your local truck stop. It'll be the freshest DEF you can find and some stations are selling it for ~$3/gal.

Cheapest place top buy def is at gas station in pump, usually $3-$4 a gallon in my area.

Agreed, I usually look for a truck stop to fill up. For the first time I had to buy it at the local parts store and I got sticker shock having been used to paying pump prices. Last time I do that.

Buy it at the truck stop pump. This is a good tip for guys like me who have not had a diesel anything before. Thanks.

I found out this weekend that some Buc-cee’s have it. Filled up in Waller, TX this weekend for about $3.50 a gallon. But that doesn’t include the cost of all the crap the family buys in the store.
