I went ahead and removed the company badges from the liftgate yesterday. I used dental tape, which is thicker than floss, doubled up and cut through the sticky-tape easily. I used a soft plastic putty knife and was able to lift and peel the sticky-tape off, just like skinning a deer.

The residue was removed with Goo-Gone and paper towels. It looks so much better without those tags. Thanks for all the advice! Next I am going to repaint the bowtie. :happy3:

A buddy of mine has, what looks like a buff pad, that you put on a power drill, and it pulls all of the adhesive off without any chemicals. I'll have to ask what it was called and report back :)

That's called a 3M eraser wheel!

Ah ha!! I knew someone would know what I was talking about! Funny in a way...3M is a big manufacturer of adhesive and adhesive products, and of course they would come up with something that removed their crap too lol
