07 tahoe dash has 2 cracks around the pass. side airbag any updates on what GM is going 2 do about it i hate this s_ _t

It seems like more and more people every day showing up with more cracked dashes.....Now I have to check mine everyday when I get in because I am paranoid about mine cracking now since its happening to so many people

I just bought a Yukon with a cracked dash at auction. I took it to the local Dealer an he told me it would cost more than $1200 to get it fixed. Called the GMC number found on this website and they are going to "try" to get the dealer to do it for $200... hope it works. This forum is awesome and has been VERY helpful in many many ways. By the end of the week, I will have done 5 mods. I sold my BMW 645ci to get this thing and I LOVE it so far.

This is interesting for me to watch. While I have had just around 30 cars and trucks though the years, all have been Fords. I was getting nervous looking at this thread about the dash, as an 07 Yukon XL is our first GM ride. I was impressed that what appears to be a GM rep chimes in, I am curious how it will go. (Now to search about my dead battery issue

i called gm and was told to expect a call back within 24hours for a solution. I will post the results as soon as they call.

Well I got my call back yesterday. Basically the rep said I was SOL.... I have no idea why. I took it in and the local service mgr took a look at it etc. Im only at 69k miles, but they said that I would get zero assistance from them

Hmmm, note to self on the dash issue, and being SOL. Sorry to hear that.

I have an 08 Silverado that has a cracked dash. It is cracked on the windshield side of the passenger airbag. My truck now has 40K on the odometer, but this happened around 35K. I clean my dash about once a month with ArmorAll, but it does stay outdoors year round.

I'm giving warning now. I have an 09 Denali. 12k miles. If it gets a crack before 30k, all hell will break loose.

Screw that, I'd be pissed if it happened before 100k!!!!!
