Hey guys, this is my first new thread. I've seen many posts regarding what exhausts to purchase. I decided to drop some coin on a CORSA TOURING. I put together a video to compare the before and after on my 2011 5.3L Tahoe. Hope this helps for those considering a Corsa Cat back. I'm really happy with it. Part of me wishes I got the SPORT, however being that's it's the family rig, however I think it's the PERFECT balance, being as there is NO DRONE and it still has a nice throaty exhaust note when you want to put your foot into it. Friends that ride in it immediately comment on how nice the exhaust sounds. Hope you enjoy!

That's what I'm wanting to run too. Where'd you order it from and how much coin did it set you back?

Phattyford, I ordered from USpartsOutlet on eBay. With free shipping it was right under $900.

I love the setup. A part of me wishes I had gone sport bc it wasn't a major difference from stock, but for the family grocery getter it really is perfect. Driving around under light throttle, is the perfect amount of growl IMO. There is NO drone and you know it's a performance exhaust. When I have the chance to light it up and when it's under load, it sounds AWESOME! I definitely turn heads on the street next to me.

I also have the Corsa Touring on my 2011 Tahoe. Just the right amount of sound for me. Just a little growl when under load going through the gears in around town driving and more bark when you get on it. Almost silent on the highway so it doesn't get bothersome on a trip and no drone like I had when I did just the resonator delete.

I have noticed that it is a little louder after a cold start until the engine and exhaust warm up. It also gradually got SLIGHTLY louder as I put several thousand miles on it.

When I bought mine the best price I found was streetsideauto.com

BTW for those that might be interested in the Corsa, this is a good video that explains the construction of the Corsa muffler and differences from other exhaust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c821NpSP6-8&feature=related

I have a 6.2 in my escalade and have been tossing between the two. I think the touring might not sound much different at all, since the 6.2 growls pretty well on its own, but fear the sport may be too loud. Anyone with a sound clip of the touring on a 6.2? The main reason I want to change is I don't like the factory exhaust outlet

Thanks guys. I attempted to make a quality vid and im glad you enjoyed.

Yes I've noticed the same. Definitely smooths out as it warms up. Nice and loud upon cold start as w many exhausts. Ive also noticed it's gotten barely, slightly more loud with use, like it has been broken-in; which is strange bc it doesn't have packing material like Borlas or other exhausts right?? Maybe I'm just imagining it?

Noob, love the stock exhaust note of the 6.2!

Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzo-UIlAw08&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I will say my stock vs.Touring wasn't a major difference in decibels but there is a defenite difference in the tone! If you're looking for something bold and raspy I'd get the sport. For me the, Tahoe exhaust is more tame compared to the Escalade, so the upgrade is noticable. plus with the family, I liked the idea of the smoothness of the touring without worrying about any sound fatigue on longer trips--- That being said, they're both supposed to be "no drone" so hopefully a member with a SPORT can chime in on theirs installed on their 6.2 bc it's hard to capture the full sound on a video.

P.s. I read somewhere on TYF that if headers were a possible future install, they recommended the touring

Actually MACHO, the Touring has a perforated straight through tube and packing material just around the tube. This is what makes it not as loud as the Sport. If you look at the video I referenced earlier, this is mentioned about 2/3 of the way through it.

In the video, your stock exhaust sounds way louder than mine does in real life with the resonator delete.:)

Good video.

Anyone else hear that piston slap?

Goodinblack, you have a good ear. The before video with the stock exhaust was taken during winter (thus all the vapor you see) which I think contributed to the loudness and the knock...hopefully nothing major to worry about engine-wise. Both were a cold start. The cold temp may have skewed the comparison slightly of the stock exhaust. Also i feel like the angle of the stock exhaust outlet directed the sound more towards the camcorder. The corsa sounds so much deeper in person and the real difference I've noticed is while driving when it's under load, the growl at low idle, and how fun it is to punch in the Express Lane Tunnels :) LOL Maybe I'll try to get a exterior drive-by and an in-cabin vid...

Love the Touring! If you plan on any major mods down the road (ie. cam, headers, blower), you will be happy you didn't go with the Sport.

JennaBear, yup that's what I had read awhile ago. Must have been you that posted that! :)

Btw, Julie got me setup with the Airaid Jr kit. I'm looking forward to receiving it. I'm hoping that it doesn't cancel out too much of the sound of my beautiful Corsa??? Next purchase will be the tune!

If I remember correctly, sound wise, it will be throatier when you get on it (with the intake), however, at cruise and idle, you won't notice a difference in how the Corsa sounds now.

Gotcha. One member said that he took his Airaid MIT off because he wanted to hear more of his Touring. I suppose the opinion on sound is subjective. Don't think it'd change my decision, even if the intake is louder at WOT/high RPM than the Corsa, bc a tune with an exhaust and no intake doesn't seem like it would yield as good of results.
