Thanks

Finally got around to it. Let me know if you want it tinted darker.

That is the hotness right there!! I don't think I will be going much darker b/c I want a good amount of light in front of me. Thanks man! Helps light a fire under my ass to get going.

No car seats for me anytime soon

I did a little work on roughly trimming the headlight housing for the new TSX projector. I still need to go just a bit deeper, but the finish line is in sight. Once I'm as deep as i want to go the remaining perimeter wall will be trimmed flush. I'm thinking of locking in the lens portion of the projector in with high heat silicone so it can be removed for whatever reason and then tap the holes with a machine screw thread so the back half will attach that way. I would have finished trimming her up but my dremel’s plastic disc sh** the bed so it will have to wait until tomorrow

Hey ive got a question, i want to remove the orange piece out of the side of my denali's headlights. How do i do it?

You have to put the headlight in the oven to heat up the glue sealing them. Then you have to pry them open. This is often called the "joey mod." Look that up for more detailed instructions. Whatever you do however, do not use superglue or any glue that fumes to seal them back up because it will ruin the lights. Also, while open, wash the lens well and they will look like new.

I would be more specific, but I did this mod to my escalade before I installed my aftermarket projectors. I'm not sure the specifics of the denali lights.

Do it. Your truck will look great with this done. The orange corner kills the clean look IMO

Also, If you're going to pry them, you may want to have them sprayed with the Black Raven gloss at a body shop, or just spray them black at home.

Not to keep the hyjack of the thread going but to remove the orange reflector inside the light, heat the light up in the oven (low heat for 5 mintues at a time (if that)) keep checking to see if you can pry the lights apart, once you have them apart, you'll need to stick the piece with the reflector back in to soften it's glue up, pull it out and pry it from it's location. Clean up the lenses (the mating surface of the lense and the housing) and re-silicone the two back together. I'd use some of the quick clamps that you can get at an hardware store to hold the lenses together while the silicone dries. Check for water leaks around the edges that you siliconed and then you're done.

Follow this thread ;)

Kind of a step back today, I tried like hell to get the lens off the housing but only succeeded in breaking off a few pieces of the lip of the housing. I'm really not feeling like messing it up any further so I might leave them sealed up and the reflector in. Also I almost made a bigger mistake with the projector and didn't take into account that the beam cut off need to be on the bottom half of the projector and the projector's lens flips the beam and cuts off the top. Had I sealed it in with the cut off on the top like I originally thought I would have been kicking myself for a long time.
So as of now I need to epoxy the broken pieces of the housing lip and trim a little more for the projector to flip over....Crappy day

Last couple of weeks I have been occupied by the new building my Dad and I bought to store the equipment our business sells. I transported my Yukon over to work on it there. I have since claimed a corner (the corner with the parked F350) of the building to set up my personal mini shop equipped with compressor, two post hydraulic lift, work tables tool box the works. The set up will be pretty badass once done, we have a couple trailers and a 35’ Donzi that is going to be stored in it as well. All alarmed with ADT w/ remote, and an automatic door opener on the 14’ bay door. So I won’t even have to get out of the truck to drive in the building….I smile ear to ear just thinking about the setup. Now I don’t have to equip my garage so much other then the basics.
I will be running a Amp remote wire, and a USB power extension from the back to the front center console and the dynapad will be laid this weekend.

Pics of the inside of the new building…
