I am very seriously considering a 2025 Tahoe (trim and engine TBD). I have watched all the videos and read all the articles, but I want to hear from actual owners the complaints you have against the vehicle.

I’m talking stuff you don’t really consider until you live with it everyday. Any personal experience or minor annoyances that others should consider is appreciated!

Me personally, I’d get the Yukon for just about $3k more similarly equipped…

Complaints in my Yukon are mostly software related. Go over to nhtsa.gov and put in a 2024 Tahoe or 2024 Yukon, scroll down and read all the “manufacturer communications.” That will give you an idea of some of the small annoyances and things that maybe aren’t done right.

There is also the obvious 6.2L engine issue, but is supposedly squared up after July 2024, so that won’t be an issue.

OEM cargo mats need a modification to stay in place, not hard, but you may want to consider different option from OEM.

All in all I am happy w/ my Yukon, except the anxiety of the engine blowing…but that seems to be on a path to get resolved now.

- High Country sound system is not good (my rear speaker volume issue still has no resolution - 10db less than front)
- Wish it had massaging front seats
- Wish it had center console fridge
- Headlight output is not that great

I love the Tahoe, zero issues, hard to find in high country trim. I disliked the Yukon vertical iPad it made the entire truck feel crowded and less visibility. I do think the Tahoe’s could have more seat adjustment but you get used to it and they are comfortable. ( but nothing like a navigator )

I wanted nothing to do with the 24” wheels, as they are for shopping malls not snow and dirt. I am good with the 22, and two days after purchase tossed the crap tires (again perfect for shopping malls).

You will be happy with which ever one you choose, there are some amazing.

We've had our Premier 3.0 for a few weeks now. My only gripes are that the auto engine start/stop has to be turned off with each ignition start and that the vehicle requires more brake pedal pressure than I'm used to.

What do you mean with the headlight output is not that great? Is this a 24 or 25? If it’s a 25, was the 24 better?

Headlights on my 25 Tahoe are ridiculously bright. If you pay attention when on a two lane road, the vertical field of lighting on low beams still crosses over the oncoming driver's face on any sedan. With high beams on I'm pretty sure you can see from the ISS.

My gripes-
- auto start needs to be toggled every time you start the engine. I really do not like this feature having the LZ0
- ability to customize a lot of the display. The OLED screen is gorgeous and I really hate how boilerplate everything is
-- driver dash screens can change in some areas to show "gauges" for engine temp, oil temp, MPG etc. There is a 3 column view that one would think could be customized to about anything but for example you cannot put up the rpm/tach, a smaller map, radio view, climate etc. If you have Waze fullscreen on the main screen, you cannot see what is playing on XM (or I've not been able to figure it out yet)
-- you cannot put the native waze app (nor any android auto app) on any two/three column view. You cannot see any android apps or native android apps at all on the driver dash with exception of google maps
-- the two column main dash view (where one would think would have the most utility) has only three cards you can change between. Really? No splits for map app/climate/radio/fuel economy screens?
- Agree with above re: brakes. The brakes are SOFT. I know the pads have to bed in but when we rolled off of the dealer lot I almost rolled out into a busy intersection. 4k miles later, they're still super soft compared to any other vehicle I've driven.
- I had to put together a raspberry pi with some external storage to play movies on the rear entertainment screens. There is no reason this could not play straight from a USB drive- you know, like it's 1995 again. The web browser and Youtube work fine so I think this is meant to push you toward an on$tar subscription. I have not found that you can add any apps to rear screens so you have only Youtube, youtube kids and a web browser. That really limits the value of a subscription
- Nitpick, but steering wheel is THICC - Gotten used to it now and not really an annoyance but did feel odd initially
- Cannot toggle air brake - only works in tow/haul mode but I really could not notice or hear it being active on downslopes while towing a two axle trailer

Overall, would buy with the LZ0 in a heartbeat. The adaptive cruise is leagues better than the Highlander we traded from, especially in traffic. The active suspension blows my mind every time I get into it (especially so as my main vehicle is a Silverado). My 7 year old noticed the difference- they were with me in my truck a couple weeks ago and said "Dad, your car is SO bumpy!"

Your first gripe is the most fixable, I didn’t say easiest for a ‘25, Auto stop eliminator. Works great once installed, couldn’t imagine driving without.

There’s not a chance I’d even consider a 6.2 — at this point, i even question the 5.3.. if i had to get a Tahoe that was not a PPV, I’d seriously be considering a diesel.

2025. i cant comment about the 2024 as this is our first chevy. The headlights on our L460 range rover, and previous Audi and BMW are much better beam pattern and spread. Driving a 2 lane highway at night with a lot of curves (and not using the brights) shows the limitations of the tahoe headlights. Ive driven the same road in many different vehicles numerous times and the headlight's on the this 2025 tahoe high country would be the worst. For those in California , im referring to driving the 152 from
the 101 to I-5

I have had my 25 Tahoe HC for 3 months, I would say this summary is probably the most accurate and I agree with everything on here except the steering wheel thickness concern.

Auto S/S is silly but can be mitigated with that aftermarket device which I have ordered.

The headlights have never been an issue for me but I would suggest that for those of us that drive mostly in an urban environment with ambient street lighting almost everywhere we don't see the issues someone who drives in rural areas might see.

The RSE issue drives me nuts, I had to buy a 4K Google TV Streaming device and zap strap it under the second row captain chair. Then run cables under the OEM rubber floor mats. The HDMI sticks out 1 1/2" and the kids smash it every time they get in so it will be broken soon. A simple HDMI port inside the console would solve that. Also if I use the power console switch and slide the console back it pulls on the cables and causes an obstruction. GM used to be the leader in RSE so I'm not sure why its gone backwards in time but its a bit of a mess for a 2025 year vehicle.

I'm also really pissed that the Connected Camera Feature is still not functioning, that was supposed to be ready for 2025 production but as we enter production on 2026 model year its still not out yet.

Read their website, no install videos for 2025 model year and several people who purchased said its not as easy as suggested.

I put mine on at 50 miles after I got home from dealer, you will never regret doing this. Love my 2025 LZ0!
What brand/model of auto stop/start did you go with? I have a 2025 LZ0 arriving soon and I want to install it as early as you did!

Thank you. I saw a video on YouTube that showed the headlight pattern. I thought it looked good except for the high beam.

You can fix the soft brakes by buying/getting the Brembo big brake kit. I ordered it on my incoming one, as I felt the brakes were less than adequate also. Should be much better on the next one.....
