Coding Suburban?

I have an app called bimmercode for my bmw that allows all kinds of options to be coded in. Things like windows up + mirror fold with touch lock, higher seat heat temps, door handle lights on in reverese, turn off stop/start engine, delete nav disclaimer, etc. Can this be done on these rigs?

not sure there is a tool to do it on our own

but i think its... GTPprix that does that sort of work, if i recall properly (BCM programming)

no, you would have to have the bcm sent to a company that specializes in adding or deleting features, GM has these things on lockdown, unless you are just having it "tuned" (engine/transmission) there is nothing outside the standard gm app to do anything.

it would be a Huge liability issue if GM allowed customers to do that kind of stuff, it's different if a customer goes out of there way to change things then GM is off the hook.

Agree. If you give someone a knob, they will turn it whether or not they know what they are doing. Some people can’t help themselves.
At my last job with as engineering manager at Magnaflux, we actually ended up putting dummy potentiometers on some of our circuit boards just so the maintenance guys had something to turn. We put the actual potentiometers that we didn’t want messed with in the back side of the circuit board and coated them with tamper evident paint. Cut down on trouble calls by 75% because they weren’t messing things up. Funny part was the guys who were POSITIVE that they were able to improve the performance of the equipment by adjusting the dummy pots.
