Just did this mod today.
For anyone with a 2007, It's a must do mod if you ask me.
Now i can actually see the instrument cluster without turning on the park lights every single time i drive it.

All the time.
Dimmer for the cluster will no longer work. I drive with them all the way bright anyway.

I’ll have to check this method out for the express. Likely different wire but I can get the schematics.

I eliminated my DRL sensor on the dash so now my cluster light doesn’t even come on at night.

That's a bummer.
My Express is old enough it has manual headlight's

Mine is extremely annoying. Headlights are on whenever ignition is on. So I felt bad whenever I would remote start and my headlights would beam right into my neighbors house early in the morning.

Eliminating the DRL stopped that from
Happening but I didn’t consider the dash lights would stop functioning. So this is some good info to come across. thanks for sharing
