What is the best way to do this on a 5.3? I found some videos that say to just remove the intake hose and turn the key on and floor the pedal to open the butterfly and just spray in some cleaner. I found others that say to remove the whole thing. I guess the one consistent is to not move the butterfly by hand. I just think I should clean this since I never have and remember it looking a little dirty when I had the hose off to replace the water pump a few months back. I should also clean the IAC because I have noticed sometimes after the engine is warm, it will idle at around 1100-1200. Do I use the same throttle body cleaner on both? Any advice on cleaning these two items (or anything else I should clean while I am in there) would be much appreciated.
