Is there really a big difference between ebay style head/taillights compared to other name brand styles?

For headlights, I want the crystal style. I will use my original bulbs for now until a later date. I have seen them run as low as $90 bucks w/ free shipping for all four front lights. Some of the other similar ones run about $130.

For taillights, I want a LED style. All red on the top and a white strip on the bottom. They seem to be the most popular style. They have run as low as $150 w/ free shipping and they have been as high as $350.

I know that on a lot of things you get what you pay for. But is it really that big of a difference?

If you're going for regular reflective housing headlights, get the style that you like. If you're looking for projectors out of the box, the best way to go is to get the depo's. For best results, you need to do a retro. There are some good retro write ups on this site.
For the tail lights, I'd recommend the sonar tails from ebay. They come in different styles like clear, clear with black housing, smoked, red, and smoked red. I have the red ones on my truck. They are probably the most recommended tails for 2000-2006 on this site.

Thanks for the reply. I really like your style taillights. Those are the ones I was hoping to purchase. As far as the headlights. I was just going to get some different shells for a little better look.

Will have to take some pics once I decide on a set and install them.

hey, ive bought all different styles and brands. the tail lights that u want, i got them frome bay for around 150. they are good from ebay, unlike most of the stuff there. i also got depo projectors from amazon for a little over a hundred. basically most of the stuff on ebay isnt good quality (other than the tail lights because i have them and love them).

I did a little searching. I really can't find anything that says Solar tail lights. I did a search on google and some stuff came up, but I never saw anything that actually said Sonar tail lights. I kept finding brands spyder and recon. There was some other tail lights that maybe Sonar but they did not have any name to them. Are these the tails that I am looking for or am I looking in the wrong direction?

Thanks for your help

Don't worry about it. Just ordered some spyder head and tail lights off of Ebay. They came from CarID. Got the crystal style front four lights and the red LED tails w/ the white strip at the bottom. Will post some before and after pics once they come in. Hopefully will have them before next weekend. I go out of town and it would be sweet to have them before I go, but we will see.

Thanks for all of yall's advice
