Welp.... damn coronavirus is causing havoc. Was supposed to be headed out on my first solo road trip to mammoth in the morning tomorrow to prep for my level 3 snowboarding exam...

The world has gone insane. Well, you'll figure a way to make lemonade out of these lemons Chase.

On the upside staying home this week means staying at my best friends parents house for the week and keeping an eye on the dogs and getting paid for that. Which is good... lol and this is a pretty awesome place to stay.... :D

Using my down time wisely! Resurfacing my cupholder setup. This is the actual OEM Denali tray that I pulled out when I swapped in the other tray that I pulled out of a wrecking yard esky. That one is tan one the edges and the lids are painted grey. They are showing my lack of paint skills from when I got it. Lol. I’m getting annoyed with it.
Time to get rid of wood grain. Also got rid of the typical flaking off Denali grey paint from the kids. Stay tuned for what it will look like when I’m done! Gonna do away with wood grain and have a plan for the lid portion for a custom surface. Also gonna install my dash cam I got for Christmas this week since I’ll have more down time.

Got my cupholder tray/bezel project done today. Repainted the wood grain tan and then wrapped the center bezel and lids in a really dark carbon fiber wrap I have sitting at home. Came out really well. A few little wrinkles in the wrap around the edges but I’m really happy with it over all.

The lids were the harder part. Ended up disassembling them and doing them separate but the lids came out really good. Next step will be to do the cd changer bezel and then the upper dash bezel. I really like this color combo!

If you use a heat gun on low setting you can get rid of those wrinkles, and it helps the wrap to stick better too. You can peel it and reapply it a few times until you get it down without wrinkles. Good work Chase.
