so... i completely blew half my carrier apart. I ordered a Yukon duragrip from randy's ring and pinion. has anyone had experience with this particular carrier?

Why not a Tru Trac? The duragrip still uses clutches that can wear out. I would guess and say that 75% of the guys on the few forums I regular run the Tru Trac. I simply love mine

But I have no info on that unit, sorry

the yukon duragrip is rebuildable, a little bit cheaper, and I got the bearings, races, and shims for free. From what I understand, Dana uses these spring loaded positraction units. I've never heard of Dana having any problems, besides the usual wear and tear with high mileage.

Truetrac used helical gears to engage, no rebuilding required. Thing locks up quick too. With my old G80 I got stuck backing into my driveway up a hill on wet leaves. Not anymore, as son as the tire slips it locks.

Durgrip is a good name, I just know nothign about them.
