has anyone here ran any capcells on there systems. i got rid of the dimming lights with my lil 1 farad capacitor but my subs still drown my mids and highs and cause them to distort at high volumes. i found a used hifonics zxi 4404 4 channel amp and a PA capcell 300 for less than $100 for both. i know that the amp will solve the drowning problem but i feel i will recreate the dimming lights so i figure the capcell will help with that. before you say it, i dont wanna do the big 3, get a ** alt,add another batt, but i do plan on replacing the 1 batt with a yellow top......so basically what im asking is what the hell is a capcell and how does it compare to a capacitor or battery?

wait til Eagle sees your post and he will let you know... but I guarantee you he will say try the big 3 upgrade..... also you might wanna go ahead and post up the specs of your entire system so that he can analyze it and tell you what to do for a cheaper price cuz he will prolly ask.

Do your amp FIRST... then see if you have any problem.

id think the guy that installs my stuff would use 2ga but i'll ask him anyways. i used to install my own stuff but since i dont know anymore than the average guy plus my friend started up his home-based business i just let him do it. thanks for the answers, i just thought since i found a good price on them that it might be a good thing to add....on another note if i knew how to wire the door speakers to the amp i probably would try to tackle it myself. are there any install vids i could look at?
