Thank youVacuum for an option that I don't know for what, but is normally closed
I was going to say, it appears to have had something on it, the end is clean compared the rest of it.It's missing the vacuum cap for sure.
Déjà vu indeed. Don’t know what it’s called but I plugged it off cleared the codes and it hasn’t come back. Good eye and thanks for postLooks like the same as this one that wasn't too long ago. It’s déjà vu all over again.
Need help: P0171 and P0174 codes
Took Yukon (2010 XL 1500 w/5.3 liter engine) to shop to have rear main seal and pan gasket replaced. Got it back and it suddenly started throwing the 2 codes mentioned. They said they took apart my intake to do an oil pump pressure test. So far, I've taken the intake off, cleaned it, cleaned...www.tahoeyukonforum.com
07 has a regulator on the FP module in the tank. No FPCM.I'm confused... The vacuum connection on that intake was found on the 1999-2006 Gen III Vortec for a vacuum operated fuel pressure regulator. But the fuel rail in the image is the Gen IV return-less fuel system without a regulator on it. Instead of using vacuum to control a pressure regulator, Gen IV is managed electronically by the FPC module.
In other words, it looks like a Gen III intake on a Gen IV Vortec.
Or maybe I'm losing my mind...![]()
Interesting! Had to go check our GMT900 Tahoes. I could have sworn they didn't have the port. Well, as it turns out, our 2013 LTZ has it (factory plugged), but our 2008 Z71 does not have it. I know both intakes are original since we bought both of these Tahoes new. In fact, ordered them from a dealer local to the plant in Arlington with less than 10 miles on them. Maybe they just grabbed whatever intake was availableGenuine IV intake manifold does have a vacuum nipple on the passenger side of the intake, capped off from the factory. Not aware that it was used on any model.
The Gen III vacuum port for the mechanical fuel pressure regulator was on the top of the manifold, with the regulator being mounted on the driver side of the fuel rail. (LQ4 for example)
No FPCM on the '07? I guess they started in 2008? Our 2008 Z71 and 2013 LTZ have them. In fact, just now dealing with a DTC from the FPCM on our '08.07 has a regulator on the FP module in the tank. No FPCM.
