I have a 2010 Tahoe 4x4 LT with stock 17" wheels and stock size 265/70/17 tires that appear to be 31.5 or 32 inch tire.

The 285/70/17 appears to be a 33" tire. It appears from looking that I can get an extra inch of diameter in the unmodified fender wells.

Has anyone upgraded tires to a 285/70/17 (~33")? If so, did you experience any rubbing?

Im pretty sure there wont be any rubbing issues. Its just a little wider tire.

I have the same truck and I put 33x12.5x17s and had some rubbing I put a 2.5 inch front leveling kit on it and they still had to do some trimming I think it's more do to the width than the height

coworker put 285/70/17 on his tahoe with 2" front kit. there is a 2"x2" contact spot where the tire rubs the front of this fender liners

I have seen a Z71 with 285/65/18 (about the same size) w/out a leveling kit, looked like there was quite a bit of rubbin' going on. (crappy pics)
