I had the c0710 steering angle sensor error pop up twice last week, both times while on a 350 mile highway trip. Outbound the error triggered about an hour into the 5-1/2 hour drive. It was off when I started up two days later but came back 4 hours into the return trip.
It's been off since getting home and driving around town.
There hasn't been any work done recently and I've taken long highway trips both prior weekends with no error thrown. Do these sensors fail completely when bad or is it common to get a lazy situation with intermittent codes when they are failing? It's strange this has only happened with highway driving.
