Starting ro drop it in tomorrow night and waiting on my blackbear tune, hope to have the black hoe back on the road very soon!
Ya know, I always wondered what an engine looked like.

So, you like loud engines? Have you been educated with what happenes when you go from 5.3 to 6.0? You get the HP, but you pick up noise. A lot of noise. This is one loud ass engine, so if you put a K&N on, and it's still in the box, send it back. You wont be able to here anything in the cabin.Go with the Volant with Cold Air Scoop. Works better, you want the sound out the back end, not the front.

I have the Volant with the cold air scoop, and it's loud, but def in a good way. Even hitting the pedal 1/4 of the way is really noticeable. I love it!

Did you put the MagnaFlo in? I have a 12x24 with a Resonator. I especially like the Volant on the highway, cheap super charger! Now I just need a snorkel. You never know when you need one...

I think there's a power flo in it. Don't remember, bought it from a forum member. It's a dry filter.

You running any torque management in your tune? I'm thinking about pulling all of mine back out.

What does torque management do? Does it basically help your trans survive behind the motor?
Yeah it pulls timing between shifts. Feels like the throttle is closing and opening back up..softens the shifts but my trans has a shift kit so it feels slow and it's not consistent.

Blackbear gives u a separate tune option with the tow haul mode button that gives u 0 torque management but it holds each gear longer..not good for casual driving around.

I didnt add the torque management to my tune i dont guess lol because it shifts pretty hard and quick, i did do the tow haul button but I honestly cant tell a difference when the tow haul is on

Yeah sounds like u don't have any tm enabled. I ran 0 TM before the motor swap and the shifts were just as you described. The only difference would be the trans holding each gear longer. Between the stall and the TM kicking in it sucks sometimes.
