Busted Rear End Shock Mount

Any options for a weldable replacement piece ... or am I headed to the junkyard?

Have someone weld it back on, or make a new bracket and weld that one on. A good welder at a truck shop can knock that out in no time and will know better than I which course of action to take. Is there a shop around that builds custom lifts for Jeeps, SUVs and pickups and the like? That's a good place to go.

Hey, I just saw that you have an '85. My old license plate was NO COOLR. Used to run low 13s with it before retiring it to run the intercooled cars. They were my favorite challenge. Started out with the '79 and carburation and then had a couple of '85s and of course the LC2 in the '86s and '87s.

What have you done to yours if anything?

Thanks for the reply man, There was enough metal there to weld what was there, solid fix.

As for the GN, I have only begun with minor stuff fixing factory flaws and rectifying the CCCI malfunctions. Fuel pump and adjustable FPR, 86-87 ecm for scan capability helped immensely. Mainly just ported TB and compressor housing as for mods. Thanks for asking, I love that car.
