Gonna go ahead and post this here so I don't clog up other threads like the 2021 4 Piston front brake swap.

After I completed the 4 piston swap on the front of my 2004 Tahoe I loved the look and have been on the prowl for a way to bolt the same calipers on the rear of our trucks. They are an excellent caliper and even better they are cheap!

So here is what I have come up with so far.

-The T1s have the same bolt pattern as NBS and NNBS front calipers.
-Hummer H2s use NBS front calipers in the rear.
-NNBS rear rotors are 13.5" the same size the T1s are designed for.
-H2 rear brake mounting plates and NNBS rear brake mounting plates are very very different. Although they do have the same hub bore size, they are studs rather than bolts to secure them to the axle and the stud pattern is different enough that I don't believe they can be made to work without either drilling into or welding onto the axle itself.

I think at this point I need to get a junkyard 10b axle so I can test stuff easier. I'm not totally opposed to doing something custom but I'd really love to come up with all OEM parts to make this work.

Here are some pictures of the H2 vs NNBS rear brake mounting plates with a NBS front caliper for comparison.

Any updates?

Unfortunately not yet, I got a test 4 piston caliper to play with but that's about as far as I've gotten. I need to clear out a bunch of stuff in my shop to get to my spare axle to do better test fitting and maybe make templates for an adapter plate that I could have milled.
