Trade offers on ours as of last week were reasonable. The dealers seem to be able to purchase recalled trucks, then since dealer inventory takes priority in the recall, they can perform the recall well ahead of when many customers will receive their second letter, and sell the "tested" truck to someone else. I will say, not all dealers are willing to take them on trade though.
And then when an unknowlegeable and uninformed buyer comes to look at... they run a check and show the prospective buyer..."No open recalls"...... Your good to go!

Is there a better site or thread to monitor for updates? Asking because I'm a little surprised this thread isn't busier.

I'll share my recent developments:

I own a 22 Suburban LTZ with about 37K miles on it. Original owner. Received my first letter about 10 days or so ago.

Got a call this morning from my dealer, he notified me of the recall, said it was time to schedule an inspection and briefly walked me through the process and answered questions.

They said if it passes, they change the oil and I get a new cap. He said if it fails, I CAN drive it away and they'll call me when the new engine comes in. Said about 2-3 months for a new engine and about a 3-4 day swap.

I asked him about a facia piece that was ordered under warranty that I've been waiting on, he put me on hold, went and checked and came back. While on hold, I remembered to ask him about an additional drivetrain/engine warranty if the engine passes the test. He said he didn't know of any additional warranty for the "drivetrain". I asked how about the engine? His tone changed a bit and he said we can discuss that when I come in. Aside from that red flag, I'm at least a tiny bit impressed that they proactively reached out. I haven't received the second letter yet, but he did confirm that my VIN had been released by GM.

Anybody been through this that's passed and received a zero-cost additional warranty? Would love to understand those details. There's got to be a catch.
I passed, here is a screen shot from MyGMC app. Special coverage for 10years, 150k miles for crankshaft and rods and rod bearings.

Yes, check vin but my 2024 1500 Denali has not been called up yet. I did a 3500 mile oil change at dealer today and he confirmed my VIN not eligible for the 6.2 engine check yet. GM spreading these out it seems.
That have to spread out the VIN's could you imagine what it would be like at dealers if they issued the VIN's all at once. Way overwhelmed

True, just the testing is adding time to the dealers' work. A certain percentage will need new engines, and those don't grow on trees.

My rig's info on https://experience.gm.com/ownercenter/recalls?vin=xxxx has been updated as well (Since July 2 recall procedure performed at GMC dealership) to reflect the 'extra' warranty

Not sure why I get an extra "9" miles over the 150,000 :)

GM’s various warranties expire at the end of their time limitation and/or mileage + their in-service mileage.

GM begins the warranty mileage at the in-service or delivery mileage.

Your vehicle was probably placed in-service with 9 miles on the odometer.

I'm looking at either a '25 or '26 Yukon Denali 6.2 depending if my dealer can find my configuration anywhere. Does anyone have any facts pertaining to how many of the 2025 "fixed" 6.2s are breaking as there are reportedly some? Would ordering a '26 mean that maybe GM is still tweaking this engine even during the 2025 model year?

Per my post a few days ago... When we started looking into trading one of our recalled vehicles for a new 2025, someone we know who is on the executive team at another GM dealer told us to wait or buy a 5.3 instead, because they've had several new 2025 6.2 trucks blow in the last few weeks. I've seen the same reported by other folks in this and other GM forums. Knowing that, we hit the brakes on trading for a new 2025 or 2026 with the 6.2. If the 2025 6.2s are still failing despite GM's statement that "2025 year model vehicles are not affected..." then my gut says we're being hoodwinked. We're supposedly on the cusp of GM releasing the 6th gen small block in the 2027 half tons in summer of 2026, so GM could just be kicking the can far enough down the road to get to that point. For what its worth, another GM dealer owner told a good friend of ours who experienced multiple 6.2 failures, not to buy any 6.2s for the foreseeable future, because GM still doesn't really understand what's causing the failures.

Any proof? Forum links? Or just 'feels'?

No documented proof other than what trusted contacts at GM dealers have shared, which 100% contradicts GMs official statement that was published on GM Authority. I can’t imagine dealer execs and owners would tell anyone to not purchase a new vehicle if there wasn’t some legitimate concern. The forum links would take hours to compile but are easy to find here, at GM Trucks forum, and Reddit.

I couldn't find any. Can you post some links so that we can see the 2025 failures for ourselves?

Trust me bro doesn't work.

I’ve heard this argument but if true, then GM shouldn’t have released a statement saying 2025 year model vehicles aren’t affected.
I’m not disagreeing with you, I simply offered a possibility. Now, we can ask a question. What is the failure rate on the 25’s? I believe the rate on the 21-24’s were 3-4%. At this point if the 25’s were plagued with this problem, we’d know from several sources. The 25’s have been out for a year.
In addition, we should know about the trucks that have had the engines replaced post July of 24 as well.
