If you've already checked brake circuit grounds and wiring, Here's a total WAG, as I specialize in those...if you have towing setup, check the towing circuit fuse(s) and pull it/them and see if that does anything. I know there's a fuse because mine blew after I got rear ended and trailer lights wouldn't work. Maybe some weird feedback loop? It only costs a minute of time. Good luck.

Confirm that you replaced the switch on the brake pedal assembly?

Remove one of the brake light bulbs from the taillight and see if both, or only one, of the filaments is lighting up. The shorter, thicker filament is the brake light circuit (in the pic below, I put a red arrow pointing to the brake light filament).

Which one is lighting up, or are both?

Open up the cover on the trailer connector and make sure it's clean in there.

Had an 06 Silverado freak out when I pressed the brake and turned into sonic with the turn signal. Checked the trailer connector in the rear and found one of the wires for the big trailer plug was touching another and triggering the lights to not work right (was like when we got it and never noticed as it was tucked into the bumper). Separated/fixed wires and all was fine.

Unfortunately the OP hasn't responded, and hasn't been on here in over 2.5 years. Suggest you post your issue in the correct year section for current responses.
I apologize I was just trying to google the fix and this was the closest description to my issue.
