Brake lights and Reverse Lights inoperable

Okay, so my main brake lights and reverse lights are out. I’ve looked at all the fuses, I’ve swapped that little box that sits under the rear passenger side, now I haven’t swapped bulbs yet but for all of them to be out like that would be wild. Turn signals work, hazards work, main rear lights work, third brake light works. Lowkey think it might be a cut wire somewhere as the third brake light was in fact cut, I’ve since spliced it back and it worked as intended. I ordered a new set of tail lights so when those come in, I’ll be putting them in and updating this.

Until then, any ideas?

Have you tested for voltage and ground at the bulb sockets, and at the rear lighting junction block (is that what you changed)?

If you have a trailer light connector by the hitch, is the socket clean, with no dirt?

My apologies, 2002 Tahoe. The trailer light connector is fairly clean.

Yeah I had checked the fuse box. Fuses are fine. I’m thinking it has to be a wire connection not attached properly anymore or cut.

I'm confused. Did u replace something recently? Or did it just stop working?

Find brake fuse with a test light and have someone hit the brake and the fuse for the rear brake lights should light the test light bulb.that will tell u that it's before or after fuse box.

I would get a test light and test ALL connections at each light AND at the trailer harness. The trailer harness is on a seperate fuse from the tail lights. I've blown one of my trailer fuses before because of a short in the trailer wiring.
Also, if you live up north where the salty roads are in the winter, theres a high possibility of corrosion in your connectors. So closely inspect every connector and bulb socket, and make sure you don't have any of the "green crusties" growing in there. Double check all the connections on that box on the passenger side as well. If you do find any corrosion, you could try cleaning it, but the better solution will be to replace the connector or socket.
