Hey guys. Just found out a couple weeks ago that my factory shocks up front finally let go. They actually probably blew a couple months ago but I didn't find out about it until recently...didn't notice too much of a difference other than it's gotten progressively more bouncy and harsh over the last little while.

I'm averaging about 14.3 right now, mixed driving. Think that the shocks could have anything to do with it? I'm not expecting phenominal mileage given the fact that I'm running a leveling kit and bigger tires, but I think that considering the tune and the intake, I should at least be seeing 16 mixed. Any thoughts?

I'm meeting up with Max this weekend to throw on the 5100s (finally), so hopefully that will help.

Yeah the best tank I got was right after the tune, 18.8mpg. After that its slowly declined. Not sure whats up. I keep my maintenance really up to date, too (with the exception of the shocks, obivously...didn't know until now).

I guess I'll have to see if the Bilstiens help any.

Check these while your at it:

CAI / Air Filter
MAF Sensor
Gas Filter
Sea Foam!!
Plugs and Wires
Tire Pressure

Try these why your at it and see where that gets your mileage. All these little things can add to up possible major gains in your MPG's.

Thanks Blue, but I'm covered on all of that stuff. I'm maintenance **** with this thing. I change the oil every 3000 miles, just did the plugs and wires last year (Delco OEM iridium plugs and Delco wires), and I seafoam and clean the TB every spring. Intake has less than 5K miles on it (well below the 30K mile cleaning interval on the AEM dryflow filters) and still appears clean, the MAF sensor is brand new (replaced it chasing an intake leak when I did my tune), and the fuel filter was replaced in May. I bought my tires at Discount Tire and get free rotations, so I rotate them every 3-6000 miles and have the pressure checked each time.

Addtionally, the water pump, fuel pump, pitman arm, front diff seals, transfer case seals, and a few other odds and ends have been replaced under my extended warranty.

I'll see what happens after I get the new shocks on it. The mileage isn't terribly bothersome, I'd just like to get it back up into the 16-17 range if I can.
