Hi,
Long story short, I took my Yukon to a dealer a couple years ago, they said it needed new rear air shocks and a rear air compressor, and gave me part numbers. I couldn't afford the parts until a couple of weeks ago. I bought the parts, went to my normal shop, and they were going to replace them, but determined that there was another part needed. The air compressor only came with the hose for the driver rear shock and not the passenger one. They called a dealer and were told that the hose can only be ordered as part of a wiring harness that it is run through and that part is discontinued.
I looked online, I talked to a dealer, I called the number the dealer gave me (Vintage Parts), and can't find the part number we were given (23231716). I found an air hose that I think might work (19115819), but was curious what others have done? Is there a newer part that could be substituted for the hose/harness? We also have an old '07 GMC Envoy Denali with a built in auto-leveling compressor sitting in our driveway. Could the hose, if in decent condition, be taken from it and put on the Yukon?
Pictures are the Yukon doing what it does best, the wiring harness and hose in question, and the hose connection to the shock.
Thanks in advance.
