Went to the drag strip for the first time recently and had a great time, even though I got walked on all day. The only truck I actually beat was a rusted old dodge farm truck that was running 17's...Best of the day for me was 15.656 at 89 Mph with most runs in the 15.8 range.

So now I suppose I am bitten by the performance bug, and went on a bit of a shopping spree...

full 2 secs should be shaved, so 13s that are high is what Ill be shooting for.

With my NA setup heavily modded, I know Im in the 14s, when I add my procharger setup like yours, with my heavy mods, Im expecting 12s from my truck.

IM JEALOUS! very nice!

Why no heads??

Im jealous, but just makes me work harder for my D1. IMO good steal on that price. I would much rather this P1 vs a "Maggie 112" setup. Yes they both have their trade offs... Im looking for a D1 with my bigger engine and mods.

He does not need heads, his stock are good enuff, especially with that blower, heck he "doesn't" need a cam. With a combo like that, he is better taking his money and getting a Stall converter in the 3500rpm range and/or some lower gears. = all of this = a higher revving motor for his centrifugal style supercharger which = more power, more boost.

well I should also share my setup:

6.0 VMAX engine 10:1 compression
4l85e transmission (1ton version)
2wd, 4000 RPM Stall converter, 4.88 rear gears, 32" tire
Airaid intake, LPP longtube headers, 3" ORY
PCM4less street tuned

IMO a D1 will love my RPMs, and power will be atrocious

Was thinking about em, but I talked to a few people and they said it would still make really good numbers on the stock heads and any gains would be minimal. Decided I'd save a bit of my money since I spent way too much as it is. I'll wait til a 6.0 for headwork

Have a 3400 stall already and plan on 4.11 gears in the not too far future.

Sick setup you have. The centrifugal s/c should love that stall and gears. What rpm are you at for around 70 mph cruise with those insane gears?

Update: Had a billet output shaft installed today in the trans. Stall, trans, and trans cooler go in on Tuesday. Just got a GoPro as well, so I will post some before and after videos
