just a tip, when adding electric fans or upgrading to one's that pull more. get the power for the main relay stright off the alt lug. it's the highest voltage point and keeps the load off the factory working.

I have found even if you have weak factory working, if you remove the 40amp or more fan load off it even when it comes with factory fans and run it straight to the alt and a good engine found. the factory stuff works much better. same for if you even need to run big fuel pumps. take the load off the factory stuff and pick it up from the alt directly.
What did you do with the old wires for the fan connection (power and ground)? Just heat shrink em and tape/tuck them away in the loom?
Did you run separate power and ground for each fan? Or do these only have one harness connection? I can’t remember off hand.
What size is the OEM cable from the factory?
Which cable are you referring to? They are different sizes for different connections.

I'll be using solder lugs and convert to military style battery lugs.
I would never buy a cra**y kit like that!
I'm thinking i'll need 15 feet of red and 5 feet of black cable.
I’ll be posting my Big 3 upgrade here soon. I can send you all the details if you need them. It has the factory GM p/n and the info for the BatteryCablesUSA.com store I ordered them from. Those guys know their $hi!t and make a quality product. Just make sure you order the right stuff.
But as they say, having the wrong info will get you the wrong part ordered every time.

I pulled the fuse to the fan in the fuse box so that factory power wire was dead, and ended up just reusing it in the fuse holder I put inline with the postive to the alternator.

the amp load ring is on the neg side, so I'm pretty sure the ecm will still see the load correctly. Basically you're just trying to get the 40amp or so load off the factory wiring and the voltage drop thru the fuse box onto the alt lug, so you get a little higher voltage to the fans and happier factory wiring.

my car liked it, my yukon being a hybrid and doesn't have an alternator I've left it alone.

they have a lot of funny details. they spend a lot of time with the engine off at red-lights and drive thrus. so they needed a 320v to 12v inverter to run everything 12v while the engine is off. also 42v for the electric power steering. there's nothing on the front of the engine but crank pulley, water pump and tensioner.

I did a 1998 K2500 suburban a few years ago using 2/0 welding cable. I had about 20ft sitting around for a few years doing nothing so it only cost me Lugs to solder on.
It was overkill I think, Now that I have to buy wire im not sure if i wanna pay for 20ft of 2/0 welding cable of it's overkill.
I'm not going to have anything requiring high amp's, Maybe a hidden winch, but that's a whole different matter.
Just a heads up you should never solder lugs, always do a cold weld with the proper size crimper.especially with high amp applications with big wires. If anything goes wrong wires can heat up enough to melt solder
