They also sell a transparent vinyl for blacking out taillights which I used for the center high mounted brake light.

You can buy tool kits off Amazon that work really well. Doesn’t take any fancy tools. I use 70% isopropyl alcohol and water mix 60/40 to clean the parts first and a cheap $10 HF heat gun. Doesn’t take much heat to get the vinyl to do what you want it to do. When you get into some complex curves and corners it takes a little more practice but that is all learned from mistakes and practice. The hitch cover was one that tested my patients but I got it eventually. I don’t have a picture of it completed for some reason but you can see how this was a tedious job getting the vinyl to stretch and shrink where I needed it.

Just take your time and buy more vinyl than what you need because you may end up screwing up and starting over or you may find more things you want to wrap.

I ended up doing a wrap on my sled. I just wanted it to be all gloss black. The panels look easy enough to do but there were some good curves that had to be worked to make look good without creases or wrinkles.

My brother wanted to wrap his sled and I told him it takes time to get good at it but it’s not hard so he gave it a try.

His sled used to look like this.

He has a few spots where he got frustrated and it’s not perfect but overall it looks good. He didn’t find that pattern in vivid or 3m brand so that vinyl he used is a little harder to work with so I gotta give him credit. But he said he’ll never do that again because it sucked. Lol. That is why I tell people to buy the better quality product because you’re not saving anything with the cheaper stuff.
I started to do my sled in a snow camo print but the quality sucked and it wouldn’t stretch or shrink easily and it distorted the print getting it to lay right. I think the only way to use that cheap stuff is by cutting it and having a lot of seams which throws the pattern off anyway. So that’s when I just decided to go black because I had it and the season was upon us. But I like the black.
