I've been designing an aftermarket under hood junction block to augment the factory one. I'm a little sorted on which relays to use. I've multiple devices I installed but never wired up because well the GMT800 junction block SUCKS for addons.
I really like to keep things consistent and continue using 280 Micro Relays already utilized in the vehicle. However, I think there's far better relays out there. These don't seem to like higher continuous current... (e.g. fuel pump & cooling fans).
Any suggestions for preferred relays? I'd like the spec to have available relays that can handle up to 40 amps.
I'm pretty well settled on the blade fuses mini and Ma.xi. I really like them, and very much dislike the newer cartridge (JCASE) type fuses. I think those are moreso to keep from shorting them out? idk. I hate those things. I've ordered the terminals and started the 3D design for the box to hold the terminal block, fuses, and relays.
